The invention provides a pharmaceutical composition for direct oral administration without water formulated as a flowable powder, comprising uncoated ibuprofen particles, a hydrophilic, water-soluble, gelling polymer and at least one further pharmaceutically acceptable excipient. By using ibuprofen particles with limited fine powder content, taste masking is achieved without the need for coating on the ibuprofen particles, such that the composition is particularly suited for direct oral administration without water.
