A pest attractant composition comprising theaspirane or an attractive derivative, homologue, isomer or mixture of isomers thereof is provided. The composition may comprise one or more isomers of theaspirane selected from (2R,5S)-theaspirane, (2R,5R)-theaspirane, (2S,5R)-theaspirane and (2S,5S)-theaspirane. A pest attractant composition comprising a first pest attractant and a second pest attractant, wherein the first pest attractant comprises theaspirane or an attractive derivative, homologue, isomer or mixture of isomers is outlined. The second pest attractant may comprise sordidin. Use of said compositions for attracting pests is provided. The pest may be a pest of a plant of the Musaceae family, preferably a beetle or weevil.
