PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cultivation apparatus with which a suitable moisture stress can be given stably to a crop, sufficient oxygen can be supplied to the roots of the crop to prevent the roots from being rotted at low cost, and the amount of required soil can be reduced compared with when soil cultivation is used.SOLUTION: The cultivation apparatus according to the present invention comprises: a culture medium part to which the crop is adhered; and a cultivation-liquid supply mechanism for supplying a cultivation liquid to the culture medium part. The culture medium part includes: a frame body; particles for filling the inside of the frame; and an area in which capillary action is used to supply the cultivation liquid to at least an intermediate part of a layer formed by the filling particles. The cultivation-liquid supply mechanism includes: a liquid storage part for storing the cultivation liquid; and a liquid feeding part arranged between the culture medium part and the liquid storage part. The liquid feeding part preferably feeds the cultivation liquid in the liquid storage part to the bottom of the particles filled in the culture medium part by capillary action. It is preferable that the cultivation apparatus includes a mechanism for regulating the water level or salinity concentration of the cultivation liquid in the liquid storage part.
