PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking-type mower simplified in power transmission structure and enabling the center of gravity of its machine body to be lowered as well.SOLUTION: A walking-type mower includes the following construction: a traveling machine body F suspended with a pair of right and left front and rear wheels 2 is installed with an electric motor M with its output shaft M1 oriented vertically and a driving mechanism transmitting the mechanical power of the output shaft M1 of the electric motor M to a cutting blade shaft 4 furnished with a cutting blade 3 and to the longitudinal shaft 5 of the front and rear wheels 2.
