Disclosed is a light emitting device for a fishing rod, which is turned off not to disturb fishing when the fishing rod is placed horizontally for fishing or is turned on to help a user easily replace baits or collect the caught fish when the fishing rod is lifted slantingly for replacing baits or snatching the fish. The light emitting device of the present invention comprises: a housing having a coupling hole through which a belt is coupled with a fishing rod； a lighting device installed on the bottom opening of the housing to emit a light to the outside； a battery disposed on the left space inside the housing to supply power to the lighting device； a left contact piece making a left port of the battery come in constant contact with the lighting device； a right contact piece making a right port of the battery come in selective contact with the lighting device； and a weighing body moving to the right and the left in a right space inside the housing by gravity along a pair of guide protrusions inclined on a right space inside the housing, wherein the weighing body forces the lighting device to be turned on by making the right contact piece come in contact with the right port of the battery when moving from the right to the left of the right space of the housing and to be turned off by making the right contact piece separated from the right port of the battery when moving from the left to the right of the right space of the housing.낚시를 하기 위해 낚시대를 수평하게 놓은 경우 낚시에 방해되지 않게 소등되며 미끼를 교체하거나 고기를 낚아 낚시대를 경사지게 들어올렸을 때에는 점등되어 미끼를 용이하게 교체하거나 고기를 쉽게 수득할 수 있도록 한 낚시대용 발광장치가 개시된다.
