PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a walking aid that includes: a walking assistance stick and a connection member for connecting one of the right and left parts close to the waist of a walking person to the walking assistance stick and transmitting a part of the body weight of the walking person to the walking assistance stick, and that is suitable for a walking person capable of walking with both legs though having pain in the right or left leg.SOLUTION: The walking aid includes: thigh support bands 11, 12 for diagonally enclosing one of the right and left thighs of the walking person from the crotch toward a waist or a waist support band 13 for horizontally enclosing the waist of the walking person a walking assistance stick 14 and a connection member 15 for connecting the thigh support bands 11, 12 or the waist support band 13 to the walking assistance stick 14 and transmitting a part of the body weight of the walking person to the walking assistance stick 14 from the thigh support bands 11, 12 or the waist support band 13.
