PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop and provide a shovel for planting vegetable seedlings, flower seedlings, vegetable pot seedlings, flower pot seedlings, vegetable roots, flower roots and various kinds of bulbs, intended for providing comfortable work environment by making work efficient, through mitigating burdens on the arms and wrists and cutting the time of taking for such planting work.SOLUTION: The shovel is a single-handed horticultural one, being such that: by making its shape having such four characteristics as the edge width wider than a weeding rake (characteristic 1), edge length longer than a weeding rake (characteristic 2), grip part shorter than a weeding rake (characteristic 3) and being of L-shape (characteristic 4), planting holes can be bored by an action of taking advantage of a relevant workers body weight unconsciously and quite naturally and if the edge width is made to be 6-8 cm, the edge length is made to be about 16 cm, and the grip length is made nearly equal to the edge length, hard-to-crumble, stable planting holes of about 10-15 cm in depth can be easily and consecutively bored, and burdens on the workers arms and wrists can be mitigated, leading to enabling the planting work to be made efficient.COPYRIGHT: (C)2012,JPO&INPIT【課題】腕や手首に掛かる負担を軽減させ、植え付けに掛かる時間短縮を計り、作業の効率化による快適な作業環境を提供する為の、野菜苗、花苗、野菜ポット苗、花ポット苗、野菜株、花株及び各種球根類の植え付け用スコップを開発して提供する。【解決手段】片手園芸スコップの形状を現在の直線に近い形状から、草かきよりも広い刃幅(特徴1)、草かきよりも長い刃長(特徴2)、草かきよりも短いグリップ部(特徴3)、L字型の形状(特徴4)の4つの特徴を有する形状にする事で、意識する事無くごく自然に、作業者の体重が利用される動作で植え付け穴を開ける事が可能となり、刃幅を6cm~8cmに、刃長を16cm前後に、グリップ長さを刃長とほぼ等しくすれば、深さ10cm~15cm位の崩れにくい安定した植え付け穴を、連続して楽に開ける事ができ、腕や手首に掛かる負担も軽減され、作業の効率化を図る事が出来る。【選択図】図1
