PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent agent for the prevention or treatment of stomatitis, especially, to provide an agent for the prevention or treatment of stomatitis capable of keeping good QOL without developing stomatitis which is a side action caused by anticancer agents and enabling continuing cancer chemotherapy.SOLUTION: The agent for the prevention or treatment of stomatitis comprises lafutidine and/or its salt which are H2 receptor antagonistic agent having continuing acid secretion suppressing action and gastric mucosa protection action through a capsaicin-susceptible sensory nerve.
