Compositions having reduced viscosity, which can be used as bio tissue adhesives and sealants, increase the rate of healing. The composition containing at least one isocyanate-terminated compound and a diluted solution including at least one amine. The isocyanate-terminated compound OCN-R-NC(O)O-X-OC(O)N-R-NCO where X is a polyether, a polyester or polyether-ester group, R is an aliphatic or aromatic group. The ratio of isocyanate-terminated component to amine is from 1:10 to 10:1 w/w. Methods of manufacturing the composition and the adhesive are claimed.
