PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a diaper user from picking the tab of his/her disposable diaper after wearing it, and from causing its unintended slackening.
SOLUTION: A fastening tape 4 includes an roughly rectangular base tape 41 extending from the rear part 203 of the diaper body 2 in a width direction, and a fastening member 42 attached on the base tape 41. On the base tape 41, a weakened line 45 is formed extending over the total tape width length and approximately in parallel with the tape width direction. When the disposable diaper 1 is put on a user, the fastening member 42 is fastened to the external surface of a front part 201 of the diaper body 2, and then a caretaker or the like cuts the base tape 41 along the weakened line 45, separates a tab 44 from its fastening portion 43 and removes the tab from the fastening tape 4. This prevents the diaper user or the like suffering dementia, or the like from picking and pulling the tab 44, and as a result, the fastening tape 4 is prevented from unintended release and from getting the disposable diaper 1 out of place from the user.
