The treatment preferably takes place in a shorter treatment period, for example not more than 12 weeks. In one aspect, the therapies include administration of at least two direct acting antiviral agents without interferon and ribavirin to a patient with HCV infection. For example, the therapies include administration of an effective amount of a therapeutic agent 1 (ABT) or a therapeutic agent 2 (= ABT-333) or a therapeutic agent 3 (= ABT-072) or a therapeutic agent 4 (ABT), and an inhibitor of cytochrome P450 (e.g. ritonavir) to a patient.
