A surgical instrument (10) includes an end effector assembly (100) having first (110) and second (120) jaw members movable between a spaced-apart position and an approximated position. A trigger assembly (60) is movable between an un-actuated position and an actuated position. An energizable member (220) is selectively movable relative to the jaw members (110, 120) between a first storage position and a first deployed position. At least a portion of the energizable member (220) extends distally from the jaw members (110, 120) in the first deployed position. A selector (80) is operably associated with the trigger assembly (60) and the energizable member (220). The selector (80) is transitionable between a first state, wherein the energizable member (220) is decoupled from the trigger assembly (60), and a second state, wherein the energizable member (220) is coupled to the trigger assembly (60) such that movement of the trigger assembly (60) from the un-actuated position to the actuated position effects movement of the energizable member (220) from the storage position to the deployed position.
