PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep better aesthetic appearance of a cover member made of metal, and simultaneously, prevent an inner member from being easily removed from the cover member in a reel unit for a fishing reel.SOLUTION: Thumb rest 8 is a member made of aluminum alloy and is formed by pressing. First members 9 made of aluminum alloy are stud welded to a back surface 8a of the thumb rest 8 wherein the first members protrude therefrom.
