The main purpose of an apparatus for protecting seedlings of trees and bushes from the sun is to prevent the hypocotyl of the seedlings from being burnt by contact with the ground heated by the sun's rays. The protector, which is made of higher grammage paper or cardboard, has the shape of a disk (1) with a small central hole (2) and a cut (3) that extends from the hole to the circumference of the circle, allowing the protector to be fitted onto the seedling (6). After the stem is fitted into the central hole, the section to the left of the cut is pulled and attached by clips, an adhesive or merely by being inserted into the adjustment line (4), shortening the disk (1) by approximately 45° and converting it into a cone with its base supported on the ground. The shadow projected by the cone keeps the ground in contact with the seedling (6) colder, thus preventing the harmful transfer of heat to the hypocotyl, besides preventing the accumulation of earth on the seedling and helping to keep moisture near the root.L'invention concerne un appareil de protection solaire pour plants d'arbres et d'arbustes, visant essentiellement à éviter que la collecte des plants soit brûlée par contact avec le sol chauffé par les rayons solaires.
