To provide a new warning device suitable for an electric wheel chair of joystick type.SOLUTION: Provided is a warning device that is freely attached to an electric wheel chair operated with a joystick, comprising: a seat freely attached in the vicinity of the joystick； a first link member supported with respect to the seat so as to freely swing forward and backward and leftward and rightward in an advancing direction of the electric wheel chair； a second link member coupling an operation lever for the joystick and the first link member； position detecting means that detects the position, in XY direction, of the first link member； warning means that is freely attached to the electric wheel chair； and a controller that controls the warning means, the controller causing the warning means to provide warning in response to a situation in which a level of a signal input from the position detecting means has reached a predetermined threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
