A veterinary Elizabethan Collar is provided that when unconstructed resembles a semi-circular shape. When the collar is constructed, it is in the shape of a truncated cone. The collar includes receivers on one side and tab mechanisms on the other side such that when the receivers are placed over receiving mechanisms to form a collar of a desired size, the receiver members can be selectively engaged with the tab mechanisms. The collar may also include collar stays that can be selectively attached to an animals existing collar to help keep the Elizabethan collar in place.
