A massage mitt (10) comprising a main body portion comprising a hollow interior volume whose shape and dimensions correspond to that of a therapists hand, the exterior of the mitt (10) comprising a plurality of nodules (24, 28, 32), and wherein the mitt (10) further comprises reinforcing elements (50, 52, 54, 58) adapted, in use, to maintain, in use, the users hand in a neutral, ergonomic position. The main body portion comprises: a convex upper surface portion (14) adapted, in use, to overlie the back of the users hand and a concave lower surface portion (12) adapted, in use, to overlie the palm of the users hand and wherein the reinforcing elements comprise: a first integrally formed reinforcing element (54) comprising a region of increased thickness formed on an interior surface of the concave lower portion of the mitt (12), which extends from a wrist region (56) onto the concave lower surface portion (12), and a second region of increased thickness (50) formed along the outside of the trapezium-metacarpal region of the users thumb. Preferably, the mitt (10) is manufactured from silicone or EVA rubber having a Shore hardness of about 35 A.
