The present invention relates to an apparatus for peeling onion, comprising: a base frame a casing having an insertion hole for inserting onion on one side, having a discharge hole for discharging the onion on the other side, and formed to discharge skin downwards, so as to be supported by the base frame a transfer drum installed inside the casing, having the central shaft supported on both side surfaces of the casing by a bearing, and having a protruding thread part on an outer circumferential surface an inclined guide plate installed inside the casing to form a predetermined discharge gap in a space apart from the transfer drum a drum driving motor installed on an insertion or discharge hole side, and connected to the central shaft of the transfer drum to rotate the transfer drum and a cover part having an air injection means to peel the skin of the onion on the upper side of the casing.
