The present invention relates to a sustained release pharmaceutical formulation comprising topiramate and one or more pharmaceutically acceptable excipients, wherein the formulation comprises two extended release (XR) components or a combination of an extended release (XR) component and immediate release (IR) component, wherein at least one component is in a matrix form.
