The present invention relates, in particular, to an imicyion abatement device for binding particulates, and aims at providing an apparatus which enables effective air purification at the minimum possible expense and acceptable cost. In order to achieve this, the present invention comprises a vertical holding device 2 for binding the fine particles, wherein a plurality of plate supports 3 are arranged, each of the plurality of plate supports 3 being perpendicular to each other. Each of the plate-shaped supports 3 has an upper support surface 4 on which a moss layer 5 is disposed, and a lower surface 6 that is opposite to the upper support surface 4. The upper support surface 4 is arranged horizontally or inclined in a vertical direction such that an angle formed with the horizontal direction is at most 45 °, and the plate-shaped supports 3 adjacent to each other are vertically disposed in the vertical direction.
