To achieve easily an X-ray detection device 11 capable of clarifying an effective range of an arrangement pitch of a grid 13, and reducing generation of moire and having an excellent signal-to-noise ratio characteristic in the whole area.

SOLUTION: An X-ray detection panel 12 includes a phosphor film 19 constituted of a scintillator material forming a columnar crystal and a photodetector 18 constituted by arraying a plurality of photoelectric conversion elements 17. A grid 13 for removing scattered X-rays is arranged ON the X-ray incidence side of the phosphor film 19 of the X-ray detection panel 12. The grid 13 includes an X-ray absorption domain and an X-ray transmission domain arrayed alternately. Assuming that an X-ray absorption domain dimension is B, a light receiving surface dimension of the photoelectric conversion element 17 is E, and a positive integer is N and the arrangement pitch P satisfied either of a condition, (E-B) /N< P< E/N, and a condition and E/N< P< (E+B) /N. Preferably the arrangement pitch P of the grid 13 satisfied either of a condition, (E-B/2) /N< P< E/N, and a condition and E/N< P< (E+B/2) /N.
