A hearing aid and a method for measuring and compensating a hearing ability using the same are disclosed. The hearing aid includes: a terminal communication unit which receives a measurement control signal and a response signal from a communication terminal； a control unit which sets a hearing ability measurement value corresponding to the measurement control signal； a measurement signal generating unit which generates a hearing ability measurement signal based on the hearing ability measurement value； a measurement executing unit which executes a hearing ability measurement by converting the hearing ability measurement signal into an analog sound signal and generates the result value of the hearing ability measurement about the executed hearing ability measurement； a measurement result transmitting unit which transmits the hearing ability measurement result value to the communication terminal； and a storage unit which stores the hearing ability measurement value and the hearing ability measurement result value. According to the embodiment, a simple hearing ability measurement and the compensation of a hearing aid are possible and an optimized hearing aid can be provided for users by executing the hearing ability measurement in the hearing aid by using the control signal which is transmitted from a communication terminal, storing a hearing ability measurement result value which is produced through the same, and compensating a sound signal in order to be suitable for characteristics of the hearing ability of a user based on the stored hearing ability measurement result value.
