PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants type disposable diaper which hardly causes an uncomfortable feeling and irritations to a skin by a side seal part and shows an excellent wearing feeling.
SOLUTION: The underpants type disposable diaper 1 includes a pair of side seal parts 8 formed by fusing overlapped parts 7 where both side edge parts 6a of an abdominal side and both side edge parts 6b of a back side are overlapped with each other. In the side seal part 8, a seal pattern 8a of an abdominal side formed by pressing from a surface of the abdominal side part is different from a seal pattern 8b of a back side formed by pressing from a surface of the back side part. In the seal pattern 8a of the abdominal side or the back side, the seal pattern in an end region 81 on a waist opening side of the side seal part is different from that of the other region 82 of the side seal part, and the side seal part 8 has lower fusion strength in the end region 81 than in the other region 82.
