Containers for horticulture in compact thermoformed plastics comprising recycled PET (r-PET) and a process for its production are described, the container having at least one perforated containment cavity and having a multilayer structure, said multilayer structure comprising at least one first layer of thermoplastic material, comprising a co-polyester having a glass transition temperature (Tg) greater than 95°C, and at least one second layer of thermoplastic material, comprising recycled polyethylene terephthalate (r-PET), wherein the outermost layer of said multilayer structure is constituted by said thermoplastic material comprising a co-polyester having a glass transition temperature (Tg) greater than 95°C.Said container has a reduced environmental impact and, at the same time, heat resistance properties up to 80°C during the conditions of use for applications in horticulture.
