PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inspecting suture needles to specify suture needles which do not break when pulled out from a living body, and a suture needle inspection device.SOLUTION: The method for inspecting a suture needle 10 includes: holding the suture needle 10 at a part near an edge 12 bringing a supporting point into contact with a part of the suture needle 10 which is closer to a base end part 16 than the holding position is rotating the suture needle 10 to a direction in which the suture needle 10 will be pressed against the supporting point, with the holding position of the suture needle 10 as the center and rotating the suture needle 10 by a specific angle, thereby bending the suture needle 10 by the reaction force from the supporting point.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 9
