An implantable pulse generator (5) including a header (10), a can (15), and a filtered feedthrough assembly (100). The header (10) includes lead connector blocks (20). The can (15) coupled to the header (10) and including a wall and an electronic substrate (102) housed within the wall. The filtered feedthrough assembly (100) including a flange (110) mounted to the can (15) and having a feedthrough port (112), a plurality of feedthrough wires (104) extending through the feedthrough port (112), and an insulator (118) brazed to the feedthrough port (112) of the flange (110). The filtered feedthrough assembly (100) further including a capacitor having the plurality of feedthrough wires (104) extending there through, an insulating washer (123) positioned between and abutting the insulator (118) and the capacitor at least in the area of the braze joint such that the capacitor and the braze joint are non-conductive, and an electrically conductive material (136) adhered to the capacitor and the flange (110) for grounding of the capacitor.
