A latching element 40 for use in seperably connecting components of an electronic vapour provision system, the latching element comprising a foot 41, a leg 42 joined at the first end to the foot by a flexible, resilient joint 43 and having a first latch member. The foot is configured to be anchored within a first component of the vapour provision system (300, fig 1), and the latch member is configured to engage with a second latch member 25 located on the surface of a second component of the vapour provision system (200, fig 1) when the two components are brought together in a linear motion, and disengage when the two components are pulled apart. Engagement and disengagement of the joints is enabled by the movement of the leg about the flexible, resilient joint. The second latch member 25 may be a recess or a protrusion.
