PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of sterilized germinating seeds in which the seeds such as cereals, vegetables or fruits are sterilized or pasteurized only by processing for a short time without using materials harmful to a human body, and thereby a long-term storage is enabled as the germinating seeds.SOLUTION: Seeds such as rice, wheat, barley, corn, soybean, cotton, sugar beet, sunflower and tomato are brought into instant contact with the superheated steam of a temperature of 260°C to 620°C, and then cooled off. Preferably, the contact time may be from 5 seconds to 0.2 seconds. Particularly, it is preferable to be brought into contact with the superheated steam of a temperature of 300°C to 450°C from 1 seconds to 0.2 seconds. Also, it is preferable that the seeds are brought into instant contact with the superheated steam of a temperature of 260°C to 620°C, and calcium oxide-containing powder containing a calcium oxide is added and mixed thereto, and stored. Preferably, the contact between the seeds and the superheated steam may be performed by spraying and contacting the superheated steam ejected from a cylindrical body inner wall to the seeds charged and dropped from an upper end opening part of a vertical cylindrical body.COPYRIGHT: (C)2016,JPO&INPIT【課題】穀類、野菜又は果実等の種子類を、人体に有害な物質を使用せずに短時間処理するだけで、種子類を滅菌・殺菌し、発芽性種子として長期保存を可能とする。【解決手段】稲、小麦、大麦、トウモロコシ、大豆、綿、サトウダイコン、ヒマワリ、トマト等の種子類を温度260℃~620℃の過熱水蒸気に瞬時接触させた後、冷却する。接触時間は5秒~0.2秒間が好ましい。特に、300℃~450℃の過熱水蒸気に1秒~0.2秒間接触さることが好ましい。 また、種子類を温度260℃~620℃の過熱水蒸気に瞬時接触させ、酸化カルシウムを含有する酸化カルシウム含有粉末を添加・混合して保存することも好ましい。 種子と過熱水蒸気との接触は、縦型円筒体の上端開口部から投入落下される種子に対して、同円筒体内壁から噴出する過熱水蒸気を噴射・接触させることによって行うことが好ましい。【選択図】なし
