The invention relates to novel polymer-based antiseptic compositions for treating wounds and/or for use in surgical operations, which form a film on the wound surface and have antiseptic, anesthetic and antitoxic effects. The compositions according to the invention comprise polyvinylpyrrolidone with a weight average molecular weight in the range of 1,000,000 to 3,000,000 Da, one or more antiseptics, unithiol, dimethylsulfoxide, and one or more anesthetics, preferably local anesthetics. In addition, the present invention relates to use of the compositions according to the invention in a wound treatment, as well as methods for treating wounds using the compositions according to the invention comprising the step of applying the composition according to the invention to a wound surface.La invención se refiere a nuevas composiciones antisépticas basadas en polímeros para el tratamiento de heridas y/o para uso en operaciones quirúrgicas, que forman una película en la superficie de la herida y tienen efectos antisépticos, anestésicos y antitóxicos. Las composiciones de acuerdo con la invención comprenden polivinilpirrolidona con un peso molecular promedio en peso en el intervalo de 1.000.000 a 3.000.000 Da, uno o más antisépticos, unitiol, dimetilsulfóxido y uno o más anestésicos, preferentemente anestésicos locales. Además, la presente invención se refiere al uso de las composiciones de acuerdo con la invención en un tratamiento de heridas, así como los métodos para tratar heridas usando las composiciones de acuerdo con la invención que comprenden la etapa de aplicar la composición de acuerdo con la invención a una superficie de herida.
