PURPOSE: A sponge for germinating and cultivating seeds capable of improving the germination rate is provided to enable users to easily sow seeds on the porous sponge. CONSTITUTION: A sponge for germinating and cultivating seeds is formed with a cylindrical or a cube shaped body(10) using a porous sponge. A seed mount groove(14) with a diameter of 2-6mm and a depth of 2-8mm is installed on the upper center of the body for preventing seed leaves from sinking in water. A crossing type cut-out unit(12) is crossing the seed mount groove for seedlings to easily root. The cut-out unit is extended from the upper side of the body to the vertical lower end of the body.본 발명은 종자발아 및 재배용 스펀지에 관한 것으로서, 다공성 스펀지에 수직방향으로 절개된 교차형 절개부가 마련되고 상기 절개부의 중앙에 종자안착 홈을 마련한 것을 특징으로 한다.따라서, 본 발명은 파종작업이 종자안착 홈에 식물종자를 안착시키기만 하면 파종되게 되며, 이로 인하여 식물종자의 파종시간을 분할스펀지 사이에 파종하는 기존 파종작업시간의 20%수준으로 줄일 수 있고 종자안착 홈의 바닥높이인 일정한 높이로 파종이 가능하여 발아에 필요한 최적의 환경 조성으로 발아율의 향상을 꾀하는데 유용하게 이용할 수 있다.
