PURPOSE: A composition containing mixture crude drug extract for preventing and treating atopy is provided to suppress IgE, histamine, and cytokine secretion. CONSTITUTION: A composition for preventing and treating atopy contains mixture extract of 1.5-9 wt% of ginseng, 3-15 wt% of Astragali Radix, 3-10 wt% of Paeoniae Radix, 3-24 wt% of Angelicae gigantis Radix, 3-15 wt% of Atractylodis Rhizoma alba, 3-9 wt% of Aurantii nobilis Pericarpium, 3-15 wt% of Forsythiae Fructus, 3-9 wt% of Lonicerae Flos, 3-18 wt% of Wolfiporia cocos, and 3-9 wt% of Angelicae dahuricae Radix as an active ingredient. The mixture extract is prepared using water, low alcohol of C1-C2, or mixture solvent thereof. The composition is manufactured in the form of powder, granule, tablet, capsule, suspension, emulsion, syrup, external use, and suppository.본 발명은 혼합 생약재 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 아토피 예방 및 치료용 조성물에 관한 것으로, 보다 구체적으로 인삼, 황기, 작약, 당귀, 백출, 진피, 연교, 금은화, 복력, 백지 및 감초의 혼합 추출물을 유효성분으로 함유하는 아토피 치료용 조성물의 시험관 내(in vitro), 생체 외(ex vivo) 및 생체 내(in vivo) 실험을 통하여, 면역글로불린 IgE, 히스타민(histamine), 및 사이토카인의 분비를 억제시키며, 또한 특이적으로 아토피를 유발시킨 항원에 대한 IgE를 감소시키는 효과를 나타내므로, 본 발명에 따른 혼합 생약재 추출물을 아토피 예방 및 치료용 조성물로써 유용하게 이용할 수 있다.
