A method of manufacture of an anhydrous cosmetic composition comprising the mixing of dried calcium chloride with liquid carrier material and fragrance comprising a solvent to give a give a base composition, followed by the gassing of the base composition with a propellant to give an aerosol composition, wherein the fragrance and the solvent therein are pre-mixed and this mixture comprises one or more components having a log P of greater than 5.5 and a vapour pressure at 25° C. of less than 0.001 mm Hg (0.1333 Pa) and does not comprise dipropyleneglycol at 3% or greater of this mixture； the method enhancing the homogeneity and stability of the composition.
