The objective of the present invention is to provide an absorbent article which deforms easily to conform to the shape of the body and has an absorbent which does not tend to tear. This absorbent article (1) includes an absorbent (4) a cover sheet (5) at least a portion of which is joined to the absorbent (4) with an adhesive and multiple slit portions (6) that extend through the cover sheet (5) and are formed partially into the thickness direction of the absorbent (4).
