PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article that includes indicator means for coming into contact with urine and showing coloration, and can prevent the urine leak outside from a tail opening.SOLUTION: An absorbent article 10 has a cutting line 30 for forming the tail opening positioned in the dorsal area 12 side of an intermediate area 13, and an indicator 50 positioned in the non-physical facing side of a liquid absorbing layer 25 and coming into contact with the urine to show coloration. The liquid absorbing layer 25 is positioned in the side of a ventral side area 11 from the cutting line 30. A liquid absorbent core 40 has a first end edge 40b opposed to the cutting line 30, and a second end edge 40a opposed to the first end edge 40b in the longitudinal direction Y.
