PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underpants type absorbent product having an outer wrapping material divided into a belly side sheet member and a back side sheet member, and allowing a user to easily identify front and rear sides of a diaper even if the belly side sheet member and the back side sheet member have similar shape, while enabling efficient production.SOLUTION: The underpants type absorbent product 1 includes a belly side sheet member 2A, a back side sheet member 2B, and an absorbent body 3. The sheet members 2A, 2B have side edges with bonding parts where the sheet members are bonded and non-bonding parts positioned on lower extensions thereof. The belly side and back side sheet members 2A, 2B have body parts positioned between the bonding parts and extension parts extending below it. Elastic members disposed in the belly side body part 20a, the back side body part 20b, and the back side extension part 21b have the same elongation rate.
