The present invention relates to a composition for preventing or treating diseases caused by diabetic vascular leakage comprising C-peptide (C-peptide). The C-peptide provided by the present invention can inhibit VEGF-induced VE-cadherin degradation and inhibit extracellular leakage, and thus can be widely used for prevention or treatment of various diabetic complications accompanied by vascular leakage.본 발명은 C-펩타이드(C-peptide)를 포함하는 당뇨성 혈관누출(vascular leakage)에 의한 질병의 예방 또는 치료용 조성물에 대한 것이다. 본 발명에서 제공하는 C-펩타이드는 VEGF-유도성 VE-cadherin 분해를 억제하여 혈관외 유출을 억제할 수 있으므로, 혈관누출을 수반하는 다양한 당뇨성 합병증의 예방 또는 치료에 널리 활용 가능하다.
