Dried cod egg powder comprises: essential amino acids； and lipid comprising at least 50 wt.% of phospholipids, at least 30 wt.% of omega-3 fatty acids, at least 15 wt.% of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), and at least 15 wt.% of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA). An independent claim is included for preparing a powder comprising: (i) thawing frozen whole eggs of cod； (ii) grinding the obtained thawed eggs； (iii) drying the crushed eggs, preferably at 90[deg] C for a short time and then at 60[deg] C； (iv) grinding the dry ground product, preferably in a nitrogen atmosphere； and (v) optionally micronization of the obtained homogenate.
