Disclosed is a device for storing elements, wherein each element includes a first wireless communication unit, wherein the device includes at least one drawer assembly including: a drawer including a bottom defining at least one slot to receive an element; for each slot, a second wireless communication unit capable of transmitting radio frequency waves and designed to communicate with all the first communication units; the bottom of the drawer consists of a material that is able to be traversed by radiofrequency waves emitted by each second communication unit, wherein each second communication unit is arranged under the bottom of the drawer opposite the corresponding slot to allow communication between the second communication unit and the first communication unit of an element received in the slot.
