An apparatus (IP) and a method to generate temporally-aligned image frames for image-streams (LS, RS) in a multi-channel channel (CR, CL) imaging system (100). The apparatus (IP) allows reducing or removing temporal distance artifacts that occur when processing the frames into combined image material. The apparatus can also be used to improve signal-to-noise ratio of the frames. The multi-channel imaging system (100) may be a stereoscopic imager.La présente invention concerne un appareil (IP) et un procédé, destinés à générer des trames d'image, alignées au plan temporel, pour des flux d'images (LS, RS) dans un système (100) d'imagerie multi-canal (CR, CL). L'appareil (IP) permet de réduire ou de retirer des artefacts de distance temporelle qui surviennent lors du traitement des trames en matériau d'image combiné. L'appareil peut aussi être utilisé pour améliorer le rapport signal/bruit des trames. Le système (100) d'imagerie multi-canal peut être un imageur stéréoscopique.
