PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective therapeutic and/or prophylactic agent of arthropathy, such as osteoarthritis (OA) and connective tissue disease.SOLUTION: A therapeutic and/or prophylactic agent of arthropathy contains VEGF (Vascular Endothelial Growth Factor) receptor inhibitor as an active ingredient. The therapeutic and/or prophylactic agent of arthropathy of the invention can inhibit development of arthropathy and improve symptoms. The VEGF receptor inhibitor of the invention can be percutaneously used as external preparations, such as an ointment due to a low molecular weight compound.
