An anti-VEGF antibody, or a fragment antigen binding thereof, for use in a method of treatment, wherein: (1) the anti-VEGF antibody or fragment antigen binding thereof block binding of VEGF over a VEGF receptor and (2) the use is in reducing or preventing the onset of a benign, pre-cancerous or non-metastatic cancer in a subject with a family history of cancer, polyps or inherited cancer syndrome, where the subject has never had cancer clinically detectable.Un anticuerpo anti-VEGF, o un fragmento de unión al antígeno del mismo, para su uso en un método de tratamiento, en donde: (1) el anticuerpo anti-VEGF o el fragmento de unión al antígeno del mismo bloquean la unión de VEGF a más de un receptor de VEGF y (2) el uso es en la reducción o la prevención de la aparición de un cáncer benigno, precanceroso o no metastásico en un sujeto con antecedentes familiares de cáncer, pólipos o síndrome canceroso heredado, en donde el sujeto nunca ha tenido un cáncer clínicamente detectable.
