The display control unit causes the B-mode image, the plurality of frontal images, and the composite frontal image to be displayed in a prescribed layout on a display means. The display control unit further causes both identification color information that is for identifying the plurality of frontal images by colors, and slice range information that indicates a partial region in the B-mode image, which corresponds to a slice range of the three-dimensional data set indicated by each of the plurality of the frontal images, to be displayed in a color according to the identification color information, and also causes a composite frontal image based on the plurality of frontal images, each being expressed in the color according to the identification color information, to be displayed.
