PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain pottery subjected to antibacterial processing to provide a method capable of performing antibacterial processing inexpensively to a sanitary earthenware, a tile or the like hardly showing antibacterial performance by a conventional antibacterial processing method because of being fired at a high temperature, and requiring a large amount of expensive silver-based material, and capable of obtaining antibacterial pottery having antibacterial property excellent in durability and to provide the antibacterial pottery.SOLUTION: This invention relates: to an antibacterial composition for glaze containing at least one silver-based material selected from metal silver, silver oxide and a slightly-soluble silver salt and powder of a tetravalent metal layered phosphate crystal as much as 50-500 pts.mass and to an antibacterial processing method for firing the antibacterial composition for glaze existing on the surface of a pottery.COPYRIGHT: (C)2013,JPO&INPIT【課題】抗菌加工された陶磁器を得ることであり、さらには、高温で焼成されるために、従来の抗菌加工方法では抗菌性能が現れにくく、高価な銀系材料を多量に用いる必要のあった衛生陶器およびタイル等に、安価に抗菌加工を行なうことができ、耐久性に優れる抗菌性を有する抗菌性陶磁器とすることができる方法および抗菌性陶磁器を提供する。【解決手段】金属銀、酸化銀、難溶性銀塩の中から選ばれる少なくとも1つの銀系物質と、4価金属層状リン酸塩結晶の粉末を50~500質量部含む釉薬用抗菌性組成物、および、それを陶磁器の表面に存在させて焼成する抗菌加工方法。【選択図】なし
