PURPOSE: An environmentally-friendly mat for growing lawn, and a producing method thereof are provided to use natural fibers and biodegradable fibers having the short corrosion period for producing the mat. CONSTITUTION: A producing method of an environmentally-friendly mat for growing lawn comprises the following steps: matting single fibers formed with 100 parts of jute single fibers by weight, 5-10 parts of biodegradable polylactic acid fibers by weight, and 5-10 parts of charcoal powder by weight； spraying or spreading viscous liquid of pulp fibers on the surface of the obtained mat to obtain upper and lower mats； supplying the upper and lower mats to upper and lower mat layers(1, 2), and sprinkling temperate or tropical grass seeds in between the upper and lower mat layers to obtain a seed layer(3)； and combining the upper and lower mat layers, and needle-punching the mat layers for binding.본 발명은 비효성분의 첨가 없이 부식기간이 짧은 재질의 천연섬유 및 생분해성섬유 만을 이용하여 잔디 재배용 매트로 이용함으로써 섬유재질의 부식으로 잔디에 비효성분을 보충함과 동시에 비료장애에 따른 초기 발아율이 저하되는 단점을 개선한 잔디 재배용 매트의 제공을 목적으로 하는 것이며, 특히, 골프장의 패인(디봇)현상의 방해를 현저하게 줄임으로써 골프장 잔디로 적합하며, 친환경적이고, 시공이 용이한 잔디 재배용 매트의 제공을 목적으로 하는 것이다.본 발명의 잔디 재배용 매트는 펄프섬유가 도포된 황마섬유 및 폴리락트산(polylactic acid, PLA)섬유 함유 매트로 이루어진 상, 하부매트층과, 상부매트층 및 하부매트층 사이에 형성된 종자층과, 상부 매트층과 하부 매트층을 니들펀칭에 의해 상호 결합된 것으로 이루어진다. 본 발명은 부식기간이 짧은 황마섬유를 이용함으로써 골프장 잔디 재배용으로 특히 적합하여 골프장의 패인(디봇)현상의 방해를 현저하게 줄이며, 식생매트를 롤 형태로 제작하는 경우 시공이 용이할 뿐 아니라 섬유재질의 부식으로 잔디에 비효성분을 보충하는 친환경적인 특징이 있으며, 본 발명에 따른 잔디 재배용 매트는 별도의 비료가 혼합되지 않으므로 비료 첨가된 식생매트에 비하여 비료장애에 따른 초기 발아율이 저하되는 단점을 개선하는 특징을 지니고 있다.
