PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable optometer capable of identifying the top/bottom or left/right of a subjects eyes even when the subject is in a lying state or even when an examiner is located in a foot side or a head side of the subject in examination.SOLUTION: An optical scanning-type ophthalmoscope 1000 includes: an optical scanning-type ophthalmoscope body 2 including an optical scanning-type optical system for examining a subjects eyes and a housing part 1100 for supporting the optical scanning-type ophthalmoscope body 2 and is so configured that an examiner examines the subjects eyes by means of the optical scanning-type optical system, with the housing part 1100 held in hand. The housing part 1100 includes a goggle part 1610 including: two measurement through-holes 612A and 613A formed at positions corresponding to the left/right eyes of the subject in front of the optical scanning-type ophthalmoscope body 2 so as to define the top/bottom and a nose pad 1611 for placing the subjects nose, formed at a position between the two through-holes 612A and 613A so as to prevent imaging upside down.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 21
