PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tree planting device laid on a railway track provided with a water spraying function and a water draining function favorable for cultivation of plants to be planted and capable of facilitating maintenance and management of tree planting.
SOLUTION: This tree planting device is laid on the railway track to cultivate plants in cavities between rails and is provided with sleepers 13, 14 as means for fixing the rails 13, 14. This tree planting device has a concrete plant cultivating block 17 arranged between the sleepers 13 and 14 fixing the rails to form a tree planting space between the rail fixing parts and cultivate plants, a plant holding mat 25 forming a floor for holding plants and arranged on the concrete plant cultivating block, and a water feed control part 24 arranged between the concrete plant cultivating block 17 and the plant holding mat 25.
