Matrix tablet comprises 0.05-5 wt.% of pramipexole or its salts, 40-80 wt.% of a matrix-forming agent comprising waxes, fats, oils, at least 13C fatty acids, fatty alcohols, monoglycerides, diglycerides and/or triglycerides, 10-50 wt.% of tableting agents, 0-25 wt.% of matrix modifiers, 0-5 wt.% of flow regulators, and 0-5 wt.% of lubricant. An independent claim is included for a method for producing the tablet matrix comprising (a) preparing a mixture comprising pramipexole or its salt, matrix forming agent, tableting agents, optionally matrix modifiers, optionally glidant and optionally lubricant, and (b) compressing the obtained product.
