[Problem] To provide a laparoscope which has a distal structure that is capable of suppressing reflection and diffusion of excitation light and of suppressing leak of reflected light when excitation light is emitted to excite fluorescence of an observation portion. [Solution] A laparoscope which comprises an optical fiber for excitation light that directs excitation light to excite fluorescence and an optical fiber for receiving the fluorescence, wherein the outer periphery of the optical fiber for excitation light is light-shielded from the distal end of the optical fiber for excitation light.
