PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide tableted confectionery which exhibits a high rapidly-dissolving property as a feature of xylitol and a strong cooling taste and whose good taste quality is used to the best effect.
SOLUTION: The tableted confectionery contains 80 wt.% or more by weight of xylitol. It contains a combination of crystal xylitol which has an average particle size of 20-150 &mum and crystal xylitol which has an average particle size of 400-800 &mum. The ratio of the former to the latter is 30:70 to 70:30 (weight ratio).
