The present invention discloses a topical wound healing membrane for healing wounds, dermal and ocular application. The membrane of the present invention comprises of thin sheet of processed decellularized, feebly or non-immunogenic, chorion free, sterile human amniotic membrane supplemented with antibiotics and antimycotic. The antibiotics utilized is selected from the group comprising of gentamicin, ciprofloxacin, pencillin and tetracycline and the antimycotic used is amphotericin.
